"We want to pass along our appreciation for the plant tour a couple of days ago. There was plenty of interesting information presented by Kurt and our tour guide Jim, and we feel more confident than ever that the Flushwood we have purchased is the right wood insert for our home. Also, a great lunch!"
Anne & Chris Munson
Scheduled Tour Dates:
Check back Spring of 2014 for new Tour Schedules...
The House of Fire Factory Tour is open to EVERYONE who’s interested (Note: Please no children under the age of 8 yrs old) in an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at our 11-acre, world-class manufacturing facility to see how our trendsetting and innovative products are actually made by the people who make them. The House of Fire is a private facility and registration is required for tour entry.
Upon arrival, you must present a copy of your tour confirmation email and matching identification for your group leader. This is required for plant liability issues, and walk-ins are not allowed.
Tours are available on most Wednesdays (please check the current tour schedule) at 9:00am, please arrive early as tours will start promptly. We will do our best to accommodate all guests and are a handicapped accessible facility, please inform us if you have any special requirements.
Tours last about an hour and include a casual, one mile guided tour of the assembly area all indoors. Due to employee breaks and production issues, the assembly line may not always be running.
Lunch will be provided after each tour (around 11:00am) free of charge in our factory showroom.
There will be no sales presentations during your time at the House of Fire, and you can’t purchase products directly from the factory. There will be numerous products on display in our factory showroom and we’re happy to answer questions if you’re actually in the market for a fireplace, but no one will pressure you about it.
The tour is not open to those any way associated with competitors of Travis Industries products or authorized retailers. Travis Industries reserves the right to deny tour entry at any time. Closed toe shoes (NO sandals) are required. No cameras or cellular phones. No backpacks, purses, fanny packs or other containers may be brought on the tour except by special request (e.g. medical reasons, etc.). There are no holding facilities onsite for personal belongings, those items must be left in your car.
We’re homeowners too, and only build hearth products we’d put in our homes – products that safely create warmth and comfort for the entire family. You’ll quickly realize that our company resembles a close-knit family dedicated to crafting only the finest in hearth products. Because of this family-first mantra, children are allowed on the factory tour. We ask you accept responsibility for children in your group and watch over their safety.
